The air flow meter measures the amount of air entering the engine so that the ECU can calculate the exact amount of fuel to inject: when it fails, the engine loses power, uses more fuel and often goes into limp mode.
Every air flow meter is tested with diagnostic equipment before going into stock: we check the values at idle and under acceleration to make sure the readings are correct. We mainly stock hot-wire and hot-film air flow meters.
