Used Exhaust Pipes for Cars

Exhaust pipes corrode over time because of internal moisture (condensation) and road salt. Typical failure points are the welded joints, the areas next to the flexi pipe and the flanges. Every pipe is inspected before it goes into stock to make sure it has no holes or breaks.

Types of exhaust pipe available

• Front pipe (downpipe) between the turbo and the catalytic converter.
• Centre or intermediate pipe with resonator.
• Rear pipe with integrated rear silencer.
• Pipes with flexi section (braided metal hose) to absorb vibration.

Fault symptoms

Important: when replacing an exhaust pipe, check the clamps and rubber mounts as well as the flange gaskets; they are all low-cost consumables that ensure a correct fit.
