The tailgate or boot lid is both a structural and a cosmetic body part: it houses the heated rear screen, the rear wiper, the high-level brake light, the electric lock and, on many modern models, the reversing camera and the hands-free opening sensor. A new original one can easily cost over €1,500, while a used tailgate in good condition can save you up to 70%.

At Autodesguaces Alicante we remove tailgates directly from the donor vehicle, checking for deep dents, rust around the edges and hinge damage. We operate as an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) since 2019 and every part leaves with a 1-year warranty and delivery in 24-48 hours across mainland Spain.

What does a breaker's yard tailgate usually include?

• Complete panel with rear screen and perimeter seal.
• Rear wiper, motor and washer jet where the model has them.
• High-level brake light and original spoiler if fitted.
• Hinges, electric lock and handle with its micro-switch.

To guarantee compatibility we need your car's registration or chassis number: there are versions with a manual tailgate, a powered tailgate or hands-free opening (kick sensor), and each one needs its specific version. If you prefer, we can also send just the panel, the glass or the fittings separately.
