How to identify a compatible injector

To guarantee compatibility we need the injector part number stamped on the body (for example 0445110XXX on Bosch or 28XXXXXX on Delphi) or the engine code. Injectors are specific to each engine and are not interchangeable between engine families.

Frequently asked questions about fuel injection parts

Are the injectors tested before they are shipped?

Yes. All injectors are bench-tested before going into stock to check delivery, spray pattern and sealing. If an injector fails the test, it is discarded straight away and never sold.

How do I know which injector part number I need?

The part number is stamped on the injector body (Bosch 0445110XXX, Delphi 28XXXXXX, Denso 23670-XXXXX). If you do not have it, send us the engine code or VIN and we will tell you the exact part number.

Do injectors need coding after fitting?

Yes, on common rail systems the injectors must be coded into the ECU with their IMA, ISA or C2I code (depending on the manufacturer) for the engine to run properly. Any garage with multi-brand diagnostics can carry out the coding.

How much can you save by buying an injector from a car breaker's?

The saving compared with the equivalent new injector is between 50% and 70%, depending on the model. A new Bosch CRI injector can cost more than €300, while a tested injector from a car breaker's costs around €80-150 with warranty.
